Sensory Processing: Understanding the Eight Senses (Foundation)

The session will also introduce the Pyramid of Learning as a useful way of understanding how sensory and movement foundations can support higher-level learning, behaviour and participation. The session aims to build confidence in recognising sensory needs while avoiding the assumption that every behaviour is sensory, and to identify realistic, low-tech, universal strategies that support regulation and engagement. This module has been accredited by the NCFE and can be considered when working towards the NCFE Award. Participants are required to complete five modules, including the mandatory module.
