Stronger Bones for Life

A nourishing day for women who want to protect their bones and stay strong. Nutrition, fermentation and lunch in Cambridge. We often don't think about our bones until we're told there is a problem. Bone loss can happen quietly as we get older - but with the right knowledge, there is so much we can do to support and protect our bones. And it's never too early or too late. Amanda Ryder, Nutritionist, will take us through some of the simple things we can do to nourish and support our bones through the food we eat and the choices we make every day. We'll look at the nutrients our bones need, the foods that can help, and practical ways to make changes that are realistic, enjoyable and sustainable. We'll then explore the world of fermentation with Catalina Brumann from Fermentable, who will demonstrate how to make milk kefir and, perhaps more importantly, how to actually use it in everyday life. Catalina will show us simple ways to include fermented foods in our diet without complicating life. And because we believe good nutrition should always be enjoyable, we'll finish with a delicious lunch - a chance to sit down, enjoy good food and continue the conversation.
