Herbal Tea Blending Workshop: Herbs for rest and relaxation

The workshop In this 2 hour workshop, we will be learning about a range of medicinal herbs to aid relaxation and the nervous system. We will get to know these herbs through sharing knowledge from traditional use and scientific evidence, as well as through your own senses. You'll then be able to blend a mix of herbs into your own personalised tea blend to take away with you. Many of the herbs featured in the workshop can be grown in the north east of England, with tips for how to grow your own herbal healing garden too! The venue Layla's Kitchen Cafe is a beautiful, calm space inside Jesmond United Reformed Church. Yasmin, who created and runs the cafe, puts lots of love into creating delicious plant based food and drinks and a welcoming space. The venue is accessible via ramps, with an accessible toilet too. The facilitator The workshop is facilitated by medical herbalist Claire Turner of Ahimsa Apothecary Herbals. As well as leading walks and workshops, Claire works 1-1 with patients in Gateshead and online, to support health and wellbeing through herbal medicine.
