Practical and interactive workshop to help you to implement safe and effective practice when supporting young people (aged 11-25) Safe and effective practice workshop – Delivering high-quality physical activity and mental health programmes for young people in Greater Essex Do you deliver targeted physical activity and mental health programmes for young people (aged 11-25) experiencing low levels of emotional wellbeing in Greater Essex? Or would you like to start delivering this targeted support in your community settings? Active Essex Foundation's fully funded in-person workshop will help you to implement safe and effective practices to support the mental health of your young people and staff. Join the National Mind Physical Activity Team and our local Mind in Essex partners for a practical, interactive, and bespoke workshop for community-based physical activity organisations in Greater Essex. Walk away with clear guidance, ready-to-use tools, and real-world case studies to make your physical activity and mental health programmes safer, more inclusive, and more effective when supporting young people’s emotional wellbeing. It will also lead to boosting your organisation’s opportunities with future funding from Active Essex Foundation, as well as potentially local health and other commissioning partners. By the end of this workshop, you will: 1. Understand why safe and effective practice matters both for the young people being supported and the people delivering sessions. 2. See what ‘great’ looks like by exploring real examples and learning from fellow delegates. 3. Reflect on your programme(s), spotting where you’re already hitting the mark and where you may need more support. 4. Leave with a toolkit and network packed with resources, contacts, and support to help you to implement the guidance. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please note we now have a cancellation policy should you be unable to attend a booked training course with us. Your organisation will be charged £25 should you not attend the course. If you cannot make the course, or circumstances change, you must let us know less 48 hours prior to the session.
