天池觀音灣漂浮 Drifting on Heaven’s Pond

潮汐、水和種種之間 a performance research on tides, waters, and the beings in between Public ticket sales open at 5pm on 28 October 我們習慣注視島嶼浮出水面的輪廓，但島嶼的邊緣，其實正是羣島彼此相連之處。若我們追隨那道痕跡，感悟島嶼之間的水性連結，追隨那令島嶼成為羣島的水呢？ 在長洲與梅窩之間，五個人一直在共同追問這個問題：木工匠 Sne Roy 與 Emmy Sandt、視覺藝術家杜煥、表演創作者與海洋生態學者煒彥，以及學者李嵐清。透過研究、交談，以及在島與島之間漂流往來，他們一直追尋著水所締造的連結：物質的、靈性的，以及關係的。 來領會水體在羣島連結之中的意義，透過令潮水流動變得可見的物料呈現，通過身體動作讓「流動」與「水性」不再只是比喻，而是你能親身感受的真實。 試想像：在梅窩著名的銀河交匯處，島上的河流在此匯入大海；以及在長洲那片眺望羣島的海邊，一個台緩緩漂浮於水面。它由隨潮水流轉、沖刷上岸的浮木搭建而成，揭示著潮水在我們之間所挪移過的一切痕跡。表演者站在不斷變化的水面上尋找平衡，化身為水，學習隨水的節奏而動，因為這正是與水連結所要求的。那套由竹與紙製成、能夠防水的戲服，取法自傳統紙紮工藝，成為匯集與承載海水的載體。 順着流動的水而來吧。在表演的時段裡，隨你的步調抵達、停留、離開。你可以在岸上觀看，或沿着水邊步行。而當你身在此處，不妨讓自己察覺此時此刻、環繞我們四周，所有與水及羣島相關、早已流動着的連結。 At the Silver River delta in Mui Wo where the rivers converge with the sea, and on a Cheung Chau beach with a view across the archipelago, a structure drifts on the water. Built from driftwood washed up on these shores, it carries traces of the journeys the tides have set in motion between us. On it, a performer searches for balance as the water shifts underfoot. Staying upright means learning to read the water and move with its rhythms, to find connection not by holding on, but by learning to move with what keeps changing. His costume is made from water-resistant bamboo papercraft, an innovation on the rich zi zaat tradition that doubles as a vessel for gathering and carrying water. So, come and berth here for a while. Stay as long as you like, and leave when you’re ready. Watch from the shore, or dip your hands into the waves. While you’re here, you can be the archipelago too, sensing all the connections already flowing between us.
