Peer Support Specialist Training is the peer support curriculum adapted by Camino Community Development Corp, Inc. Trainer and Course Contact: [email protected] . This class is taught in-person and in English. Anyone from any culture or background is welcome to attend. This is a 50-hour North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist (NCCPSS) Program Approved Course (40 hours of in-person instruction and 10 hours of pre-work/homework). This is a Track B approved course. Minimum number pf participants is 5 and maximum number of participants is 15. For McLeod employees: you will need to have your manager's approval to attend this course. For all Participants: • At least 18 months of personal lived experience in recovery • Recovery from a significant mental illness, substance use disorder, or both • At least 18 years old • High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is not required
