Apple Pie , Oh My! [Saturday Session]

Make a traditional apple pie from scratch, just in time for Thanksgiving! Are you intimidated by pie pastry? Yearn to be able to whip up a seasonal fruit pie from scratch? This class is for you! Learn how to make a scrumptious apple pie topped with lattice... just in time for Thanksgiving! In this class you'll: • learn the secrets of making flaky all-butter pie pastry from scratch and by hand! • gain confidence in rolling out dough, crimping pie edges, and latticing a top crust • practice knife skills (and safety!) while you prepare your fruit filling • learn additional ways to customize a traditional apple pie to play with flavors and truly make it your own • have fun with other awesome students learning & baking together • learn pro tips you can apply to a variety of similar recipes • take home an assembled pie to freeze and bake later, as well as the recipes for everything you made in class Format: Hands-on (each participant is actively engaged in the recipe for duration of class).
