Full description from organizerShow less
A mini-retreat to reset your heart's intention from a deeply rested place of replenishment & renewal. What to Expect? Start the New Year with a day of introspection and intention-setting. This 4-hour mini-retreat will soothe and support you with space for creating your Sankalpa, or heart-centered intention for the year ahead. You’ll rest in your body (through Yoga Nidra and Earthwalking), make space for your heart to open, and experience the Earth-Sky-Body Scan—a grounding practice that reattunes you to your natural rhythm. A mindful eating lite bite lunch rounds out the journey. Based on an ancient Hindu practice of deep yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra invites us into thoughtless awareness, where spiritual insight and nervous system reset meet. You’ll be guided through seated meditation, lying in shavasana, and walking slowly and silently through our old-growth forest. This is “slow living” with purpose. Renewal is a powerful path to choose—especially when we step away from the constant motion of everyday life and reset the compass of the heart. Why Come? • Yoga Nidra will suppport your deep body reset lying on the Earth • Choose to silence mind, body, and speech and bring ease into the moment. • Pause at a Mindful Magic Spot in one of our contemplative garden niches • Meditative Intention Setting Sit & Walk will ease you into the New Year • Let your feet and body Touch the Earth, connecting to your inner nature. • Reset your inner compass toward your most intimate heart intention. Replenish your inner light, reset The New by remembering how to “be a lamp unto your own feet”. She is the founder of the Mindful Pocket Park℠ at Patch. She is certified through UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center and Sounds True mindfulness training. She is also an Executive Resilience Coach and trained Forest Therapy guide. Before this chapter, Suzanne was a global TV executive and marketing communications expert. High-achieving. High-speed. Until it all stopped. She experienced burnout. She lived through complex PTSD. And chose a new path— what she calls “putting her tush on a cush.” During COVID, flooding displaced her home. As a climate refugee, she landed at the Open Awareness Buddhist Center. She stayed for 18 months. There, she took Vows of Refuge. Her daily practice included circumambulation—kora walking around sacred stupas. Supporting the lama. Living the path of liberation. And paddling the Little River by kayak. Recording floating meditations—Pockets of Peace— “inviting others to float in the boat” with her. 🌎 Her Teaching Work Suzanne teaches workshops and retreats on: Mindful Leadership. Transformation. Communication. Focus. She has taught for: • eMerge Americas • Babson College, Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership • Miami Dade College’s Idea Center + MDC Foundation • Philanthropy Miami • Radical Partners • TD Bank • Chapman Partnership • Levan Center for Innovation at NSU At Patch, she leads the Mindful Nature Guide℠ training. A signature program to activate the Mindful Pocket Park℠. And in 2024, she launched the Mindful Nature Institute℠.
