Music-Infused Yin Yoga with Doug

Join us for Yin Yoga & curated live music — long restorative holds, soulful sound, and Taoist balance to awaken your soft, quiet strength. This is a Yin & Restorative yoga class built around a deep integration of music and movement. The music enriches the practice, and the practice enriches the experience — each amplifying the other. Guests are welcome to move through as much of the yin yoga as they'd like, or simply recline and let the music and energy wash over them. Yin Yoga works the deep tissue, tendons, ligaments, and fascia — areas a traditional yoga class doesn't always reach. Poses are held for three to five minutes, long enough to surrender fully, ease into stillness, and invite deep relaxation into these often-overlooked parts of the body. The philosophy behind Yin Yoga draws from both Indian and Chinese traditions, centering on the Tao — the principle of balance. In this practice, we cultivate the yin side of that balance: soft yet enduring, embodied in the spirit of water. Water always finds its way, gentle yet immensely strong — the same quiet force that wears down mountains and carves canyons over centuries. This is the essence of Yin Yoga: through intentional stillness, we connect with the yin within. This class will be held every other Thursday night.
