Ruckus Poetry Slam - Spooooky Edition!

Ever wanted a poetry slam... but spooooky? Of course you did THANKS FOR ASKING. NO RULES! (Some rules.) NO MERCY! (Our judges have silly hats.) The microphone is OPEN to ANY and ALL who want to sign their name up to perform their poem/eulogy/The Raven and then there are PRIZES. That's pretty much it. It can get whacky. It can get deep. It can even get double-deep. TIX $15 Earlybird (30 only!) $20 General Admission or $25 on the door 18+ only! RULES FOR POETS Sign up opens with doors at 6:30pm Slam starts 7:00pm 2min30 max 16 poets max, first in FAQs DO I HAVE TO PERFORM? Heck no, we're not that cruel! Come along and just watch! DOES MY POEM HAVE TO FIT HALLOWEEN THEME? No, our "themes" for each month are very loose and some poets use them as writing prompts. But we don't curate or censor so bring along any kind of original work! CAN I BUY TICKETS ON THE DOOR? Yes! IS THE VENUE ACCESSIBLE? Yes! Audience + toilets accessible, and poets have the option to perform at our floor mic to avoid stairs to the stage if they wish! WHAT IF I MISS OUT ON A SIGN-UP SPOT? We really do our best to make sure we get a good assortment of poets and over the years we've found the most fair way is for it to be a first-in-best-dressed for signup, so we advise getting there close to 6:30pm when the doors open to have a better chance of getting in!
