CPD: 1.5 hours (Development Outcomes A, C & D) AIMS: • Explore the endo-restorative continuum and the factors influencing long-term tooth survival • Discuss restorability and dynamic clinical decision-making during endodontic treatment • Review the management of cracked teeth, deep margins and limited ferrule • Consider how intra-operative findings change prognosis and the restorative plan • Discuss when long-term provisionalisation and monitoring may be preferable before definitive restoration • Review the transition to indirect restoration, including margin management, cuspal protection and the choice between crown and onlay OBJECTIVES: • Assessing restorability, remaining tooth structure and ferrule • Managing cracks, deep margins and structurally compromised teeth • How intra-operative findings alter prognosis and the restorative plan • Coronal sealing and core build-up, and whether immediate dentine sealing is worth doing • Recognising when a tooth is crown ready and when further monitoring is appropriate • The role of long-term provisional restorations in uncertain or compromised cases • Choosing between a crown and an onlay, and selecting the definitive indirect restoration Food & Refreshments will be provided.
