Turning Within – Candlelit Vinyasa

A journey into yourself through vinyasa, sound and sensation An intimate one-hour vinyasa practice by candlelight, created as an invitation to slow down, turn inward and reconnect with your body. We'll move through a flowing sequence designed to build warmth, rhythm and awareness in the body. As the practice unfolds, the outside world gradually falls away. With the room softly lit by candlelight, you'll be invited to soften your gaze and bring your attention away from everything happening around you and towards your breath, your movement and how the practice feels within you. This is a chance to step out of the busyness of the day and give yourself an hour to move, breathe and be present. - Suggested donation: £10. - Yoga experience is recommended. Yoga mats are provided, although you're welcome to bring your own. What will happen: - The vinyasa yoga will be a normal yoga class with a variety of poses in sequence. The only difference will be the light levels will be dimmer than normal. Once we’ve learned the rhythm of the sequence, you'll be invited to soften or close your eyes if it feels comfortable. There is never any pressure to close your eyes, and you're welcome to open them whenever you need to orient yourself. - This is to allow you to focus on your breathing and the sensations of movement What to Bring: - Yoga mats provided but please feel free to bring your own - Please bring some water as we will get quite energetic - Please bring a blanket with you About the facilitator: - Ed is a yoga teacher and lover of nature. He has been experimenting with movement for the last 2 years, including ecstatic dance as well as intuitive movement. He hosts yoga classes throughout the city having finished his first 200hr training in May 26.
