Learn to partner with teachers in the classroom with co-teaching that works. Coaching teachers in the classroom is a powerful way to build teacher capacity and strengthen instruction through job-embedded support. But what does it look like to ensure that classroom coaching supports both teacher and student learning? How do we move beyond simply providing support to developing a true partnership in which both the teacher and coach contribute to the learning process? Join this session to explore specific moves that support effective co-teaching partnerships. Together, we will consider how coaches, specialists, department heads, team leaders, and administrators can clarify their roles, share responsibility for student learning, and intentionally build teacher capacity through classroom-based coaching. In this session, you will learn: • How to establish a collaborative co-teaching partnership grounded in shared responsibility for student learning. • Strategies for intentionally planning and gradually releasing support to build teacher ownership and confidence. • Ways to reflect on co-teaching experiences to strengthen instruction and inform future coaching decisions. Who should attend: This session is designed for instructional coaches, instructional leaders, district coaches, mentor teachers, department heads, and anyone else who partners with teachers in the classroom with the goal of elevating student learning. ***** ***** ***** ***** ESC and CIESC Member Discounts Is your school district a member of CIESC or another ESC in Indiana?
