AWE Walk

Join The Mindful Tech Club and Time & Space for a mindful walk through West Philadelphia’s Penn Park! Start the weekend off by engaging with your sense of joy, curiosity, play, and presence. Together, we’ll put our phones away and explore the park at our own pace while practicing connection to nature. Art journals for doodling or writing will be provided! Please bring your favorite coloring tools. This mindfulness walk is for all ages! Families with children are welcome! Schedule: 10 AM: Meet at Penn Park by the Penn Lot (3000 Walnut Street), settle in, and share Introductions! 10:15 AM:  Walk around and explore nature and wildlife throughout the park! Take time to doodle or write what you see. 11:15 AM: Come back together as a group at our original starting point. Sarah and Charlie will offer some time for reflection and share more about digital wellness. 11:30 AM: Optional picnic in the park! Bring your own paper bag lunch/snacks, or purchase food from a nearby coffee shop (Top Hat Coffee Longue) and market (Old Nelson). Please bring whatever will make you most comfortable to picnic on the grass (chair, blanket, etc.) We will also provide conversation starter cards and paper slips for folks to exchange numbers! The rain date for this event is Sunday, November 15.
