Samhain Sauna Ritual | Kinghorn Loch

Sunday 25th October As the days grow darker and we approach Samhain - a time of honouring our ancestors, and when the veil was said to be thin - we invite you to join us at The People's Sauna for ritual to honor the ones that came before us. Samhain Sauna Ritual: Honouring the ones that came before us (11:00–1:00 pm) Our day will begin with a fire circle in the woods and a ritual to connect with our ancestors: a space to give thanks to the ones who came before us and paved our paths. This will be followed by a one hour sauna session. What to bring for sauna: – Swimwear – 2 towels (one for drying off and one to sit on in the sauna) – Water bottle & drinking water – Flip-flops or easy-to-slip-on shoes For ancestors ritual (Nothing is required to take part, all optional) – A photo or small object of someone they want to honour. Entirely optional, you can hold someone in mind without bringing anything physical. – A small offering: a piece of food, a splash of a drink someone loved, something homemade. – Something to write with and paper. I will have spare. – A cup for tea. This is a sauna event. Use of the loch is optional and undertaken at your own risk. Getting here Kinghorn Loch If using GPS, enter “Paddleboard Fife” - this will take you to the lochside car parks. There is parking by the loch, with two overflow car parks (see maps below). Public transport: Nearest train: Kinghorn train station Nearest bus: Croft-an-Righ stop (Stagecoach 7A) Please allow around 20 minutes’ walk from both the train station and bus stop to the loch. Directions will be sent to you in your confirmation email once you’ve booked.
