Woven Wall Hanging Workshop

Learn to weave and create your own unique wall hanging with local weaver Agnis Smallwood Enjoy a peaceful morning creating your very own woven wall hanging with expert local weaver Agnis Smallwood. You will learn how to include several different weaving techniques within your work as well as explore colour creatively. You will have access to a wide range of different yarns, both natural and synthetic, as well as lots of different colours and textures. There will be ribbons and roving to incorporate as well. You will not only take away your finished wall hanging, but you will also have the skills and confidence to continue weaving at home. The perfect time of year to master new skills to make gifts for loved ones too. This workshop is perfect for beginners and all equipment and materials will be provided for use during the workshop. Hot drinks and festive biscuits are included. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stitch-Up CIC is a social enterprise supporting people of all ages to learn new skills, improve wellbeing and connect with others through craft & creativity. Our studio is based at Meanwood Community Centre, Stainbeck Avenue, LS7 2QU. There is ample parking at the Community Centre Car Park. If you cannot fit in the Car Park, please park on Stainbeck Avenue and with consideration to the residents please do not park in the cul-de-sac. The Stitch-Up Studio is to the rear of the Community Centre. Once you arrive in reception please follow the signs for Stitch-Up or ring our door bell if the main entrance door is locked and we will come and let you in.
